Together, the founders combine expertise in communication, human connection, immersive learning, and community-centered experiences to create a program designed for real-world confidence, accessibility, and meaningful impact.

CO-FOUNDER
ALLYSÓN MEJORES
As CEO & Co-Founder, Allysón Mejores leads the vision, strategic direction, and long-term growth of the company while overseeing the development and expansion of the organization. Before co-founding the company, she built a career in strategic branding, executive communications, and transformation-focused consulting, advising founders, executives, entrepreneurs, and service-based organizations on communication, trust-building, visibility, and human-centered audience engagement. Through her work in executive branding and communications, she helped leaders learn how to communicate with clarity, confidence, and influence in high-level professional environments. That experience shaped her understanding of how communication directly impacts trust, relationships, perception, and human connection. Today, that same foundation has evolved into a more mission-driven purpose focused on helping build communication bridges across language and cultural barriers for professionals serving diverse communities. As an Afro Puerto Rican and African American professional who did not grow up speaking Spanish fluently, she brings a deeply personal and culturally informed perspective to communication, identity, and community connection. Her own journey created a firsthand understanding of what it feels like to long for a deeper connection to language, culture, and community, which now shapes the heart behind the company’s mission and vision. Within the company, she leads: -company vision and long-term strategic direction -brand development and organizational positioning -growth strategy and business expansion -participant experience and cohort structure -communication strategy and audience engagement -operational systems and organizational development -partnerships, visibility, and company leadership -alignment between the company mission and overall experience Her leadership combines strategic vision, communication psychology, operational development, and experience design to help shape a company centered on connection, accessibility, and meaningful communication across communities.
LANGUAGE & COMMUNITY BRIDGING SPECIALIST

DAVID JAIR SIMON
As the Language & Community Bridging Specialist & Co-Founder, David Jair Simon brings a strong foundation in bilingual education and extensive Spanish-English interpretation experience across ministry, nonprofit work, and public education. His multilingual and multicultural background informs the immersive communication framework that drives GPI’s mission. David’s approach to immersion centers on building confidence through consistent use, repetition, interaction, and culturally grounded communication experiences designed to reflect real-life situations. His work helps participants move beyond memorization and into active, practical communication they can use in real interactions, service environments, and community-centered settings. Within Gente Puente Immersion, he leads: - immersive Spanish communication training - live speaking and conversation practice - scenario-based communication exercises - pronunciation and listening development - participant fluency support and coaching - culturally aware language application - community-centered communication experiences - immersive practice systems and learner support David’s leadership ensures participants aren’t simply learning vocabulary, but developing the clarity, respect, and effectiveness needed to communicate meaningfully in bilingual environments. His work supports GPI’s broader mission of cultivating communication rooted in connection, accessibility, empathy, and meaningful human interaction.
